How it started
Along the way, I’ve also had the privilege of sharing my life and work with two wonderful dogs, Dozer and Tank. They were by my side during the early years of my journey as a dog trainer, each teaching me something different and helping shape the trainer I am today. Although they are no longer by my side, the lessons, memories, and connection we shared will always be an important part of my journey.
A lifelong connection with dogs, built on trust,
understanding, and respect.
My relationship with dogs began long before I became a professional trainer. As a child, I had a natural instinct to help animals in need, often bringing stray dogs home and caring for them. My first dog, Charlie, a Standard Poodle, became much more than a family companion. He introduced me to the world of dog training and dog shows and showed me how deeply a dog and a person can connect when they learn to understand one another.
More than 20 years ago, I moved to the United States, where my passion for dogs gradually became my profession. I began working at a local pet resort, managing off-leash playgroups and observing and assessing canine behavior. It was there that I discovered how much I enjoyed understanding what dogs were communicating through their behavior — and helping people understand it too.
I went on to graduate from Animal Behavior College and have continued developing my knowledge ever since. I regularly attend workshops, courses, and hands-on training to stay current with evidence-based approaches to dog training and behavior.
With more than 17 years of professional experience, I have worked with dogs of different breeds, ages, personalities, and backgrounds. My approach is never about forcing every dog into the same mold. Every dog is an individual, and effective training begins with understanding that individual.
Before becoming a professional dog trainer, I earned a degree in Business Administration and worked in private banking in Estonia. That experience shaped many of the qualities I bring to my work today — discipline, patience, responsibility, organization, and careful attention to detail. But my greatest teachers have always been the dogs themselves.
For me, dog training is about much more than teaching commands. It is about learning to understand behavior, communicating clearly, building trust, and creating a relationship in which both the dog and the owner feel confident.
Astro
Astro is my four-legged partner and a special part of my journey with dogs. Together, we continue to learn, explore, and demonstrate what is possible when training is built on trust, patience, and mutual understanding.
I believe that when we take the time to truly understand our dogs, training becomes more than a set of exercises. It becomes a way to strengthen the bond between two different species — and to make everyday life better for both.
